Who are we
Self-care provides greater access to effective healthcare. It saves individuals time and effort by allowing them to conveniently manage many uncomplicated health conditions successfully by themselves, with or without the support of a health-care provider.1
Responsible use of non-prescription medications is an important part of self-care. In South Africa, Schedule 0 medications are available off the shelf at any shop, whilst Schedule 1 and 2 medications may be sold OTC (with certain provisos) by a pharmacist or other healthcare practitioner.2
At Sandoz, our OTC medicines are an extension of our commitment to improving access to high-quality medicines by providing better value for consumers.3,4
Sandoz OTC medications available in South Africa include products used to treat cough, colds, fungal skin infections, pain, heartburn, travel sickness and vitamin and mineral deficiency.4,5,6,7
This integral range within the Sandoz portfolio continues to grow year by year.3
